TRNSYS allows us to model a system's performance based on real, localised, climate data

What is TRNSYS?

TRNSYS (pronounced ‘tran-sis’) is an extremely flexible graphically based software environment used to simulate the behaviour of transient energy systems. The vast majority of simulations are focused on assessing the performance of energy efficiency and renewable energy systems.

Decarbonised Energy Solutions, New Zealand’s most experienced users of TRNSYS, have worked closely with EECA for the modelling of Solar Thermal and Heat-Pump Systems.

Simulation of proposed systems to determine energy performance before investment

The development of a simulation model allows the design of the proposed system to be modelled to determine expected energy performance, and ensure the system requirements will be achieved throughout the year.
